Chairman’s Message
Hello all,
What horrible weather we are having! I’m hoping spring will be soon around the corner!
This month we’ve been busy with lots of different things going on!
Firstly well done to all those who took part in a competition at SWA at Newquay. Huge congratulations to Joanna who will be going forward to nationals to represent the South West in the Senior Member of the year and Situations Vacant and Marshwood Vale Junior reading team also going forward to nationals after a 2nd at SWA. Good luck to you all!
Unfortunately we’ve seen 2 ploughing matches cancelled due to weather hopefully you’ll be able to hold them in the autumn when hopefully it will be drier!
March saw our skittles presentation evening happen at the Halsey Arms in Pulham with around 70 members attending from the 5 clubs who took part. Well done to all who took part and won some awards! We also had our auctioneering competition at the Mitchell’s farm with 7 entries a very good afternoon and nice to see some new faces coming forward for these different competitions.
Also been busy with Rally Prep across the county with TOW training, craft evenings etc.
Members have also started calf show prep and sheep show prep preparing for the shows in April and may! Fingers crossed for some dry weather for the rally and for the rest of April!
