Chairman’s Message
Hello all,
The Sunshine and hot weather has finally arrived hopefully it will stay!
June as been a busy month for all. At the beginning of the month we held our Family Fun day by kind permission of our president Andy Seare. It was a well attended day with lots of Dogs attending for our Dog Show. It also saw Catch Weight TOW in able to let anyone have a go and use it a good practice for those going to SWA at the end of the Month. It was nice to see so many people getting involved and doing it for the pure enjoyment.
June has also seen clubs going out on Farm walks, bike rides etc. On Sunday 23rd June I travelled to Lackham College for SWA Comps day which we had members going up for Stock judging (8 juniors and 2 Seniors), Auctioneering, Cube Exhibit and of course the TOW teams (Junior, Ladies and Men’s). It was a really good day managing to come home with 3rd from Puddletown for their Australian Themed Cube, and Henrietta coming 1st in Auctioneering and progressing onto the National Final this month. Well done to Beaminster Juniors and Gillingham and Shaftesbury Men’s and Ladies for competing on behalf on Dorset YFC you all should be so proud of yourselves its a tough sport and I can surely say I had a sore throat on Monday after all the cheering on! I am very proud chairman. Keep up the good work and cant wait to see you all out there again next year!
Good luck to those who are competing in National competitions in the Next Month with NFYFC Comps day, Yorkshire Show Stock Judging. Also good luck to those entering the Mock Auction and Bowling Competition.
